A
You can export 3D Face data to OBJ, STL file after scanning with FACECAST. However, you cannot view 3D Face data from other programs or facial scanner in Morpheus program.
A
We currently support Windows, but not iOS.
A
Internet connection is not mandatory, but in order to use skin analysis function in MPS, internect connection during the scanning is necessary.
A
If using the same network, you can share the database to check 3D Face data in different PC.
A
You can view 3D Face data in either MPS or MDS, as long as the scan was done using FACECAST.
A
The Net-Key is not being recognized.

1) Check that the Net-Key is properly connected to the computer.
2) Check that the software required to recognize the Net-Key is installed.
3) Check whether you can access http://localhost:1947.
If the page opens successfully, HASP is installed and running properly.
If the page does not open, HASP may not be installed or the service may not be running.

※ HASP may occasionally stop working due to conflicts with other software.

4) Depending on the results above, reinstall HASP and follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps to restore Net-Key recognition.
A
If the issue persists after following the troubleshooting steps in Step 1, proceed as follows:

1) On the PC where the Net-Key is connected, go to Control Panel → Windows Firewall → Advanced Settings, and create a new inbound rule.
2) Create new rules for TCP port 1947 and UDP port 1947.
A
The connection to the database has been lost.

1) Check that the PC hosting the database (DB) is powered on and is not in sleep or standby mode.
2) Check the network connection to the PC hosting the database.
3) The issue may be related to DB folder sharing settings, network credentials, or similar network configuration. Check the relevant settings and follow the appropriate troubleshooting steps.
A
The Morpheus software is installed, but the security software, such as antivirus software, may incorrectly detect it as malware and delete the executable file, causing this issue.

1) Temporarily disable real-time protection in the security software.
2) Uninstall the Morpheus software, then reinstall it.
3) Add the Morpheus software to the exclusion or exception list in the security software settings.
A
This issue may occur if there is a problem with the graphics card connection or if the graphics driver is not installed properly.

1) Open Device Manager → Display adapters and check the graphics card information.
2) Update the driver for the applicable graphics card.
A
This issue occurs when the required Visual C++ runtime components are not installed.

Install the 2005, 2008, and 2015 versions of the Visual C++ Redistributable (Vcredist) that match the system type (32-bit or 64-bit) of the PC.

Head Position is a fundamental part of facial analysis. It must be set before landmark detection as it can affect both facial symmetry assessment and automatic landmark detection.
A
Even if the facial symmetry appears unusual after adjusting the Head Pose using the Widget and Cross Section, this does not necessarily indicate a problem.

Because the analysis is based on captured 3D facial data rather than direct visual observation of the actual face, the condition and symmetry of the facial data can be evaluated more objectively.
A
Landmarks are required to perform facial analysis, including measurements of volume, length, angles, and ratios.

This is because the measurement values used for each analysis are calculated based on the defined landmarks.
A
In the 3D Face tab, you can find Extra Landmark near the bottom of the menu on the left.

Click ‘Locate,’ place the landmark at the desired location, and then click ‘Finish’ to complete the process.

Using the Extra Landmark, you can compare pre- and post-treatment changes based on the X, Y, and Z values. (Superimposition tab → Landmark section)
A
Automatic landmark detection may not work properly depending on the quality and condition of the captured data. This can occur especially when the scan is uneven due to patient movement, or when certain facial features are unusually long or prominent.

In such cases, simply manually adjust the landmarks that were not detected in the correct positions.

During the standard capture process, front, right, and left views are acquired. Since the side views are typically captured at approximately a 45-degree angle, the lateral facial area may not always be captured accurately. In this case, keep the same Head Pose used for the original capture and perform an additional scan with the patient positioned at a 90-degree side view. (Applicable to the multiple scanning version.)
A
In higher versions, the 3D Face tab includes the Landmark → Show All / Hide All function. You can use this feature to view the data without displaying the landmarks.

There are also separate display options for Mark, Lip Line, and Caption, allowing you to hide only the unnecessary elements and review the data more clearly.
A
Currently, the scanned facial data itself cannot be shared directly. The captured data is saved in Morpheus’s proprietary M3D format, which is difficult to view without the Morpheus solution software.

For this reason, the software provides built-in high-resolution image and video capture functions so that the results can be shared in a more accessible format.
A
For a returning patient, search for the existing patient chart in the Patient Management window, then click the “+” button at the bottom left of the chart to add a new Record.

You can then import and store 3D Face data, 2D images, and other files in the corresponding Record.
A
Select the patient chart you want to edit, make the necessary changes, and then click anywhere in the patient list.

When the warning message, “Patient information has been changed. Are you sure to update?” appears, click “Yes” to save the changes.
A
Yes, this is possible. Click the 2D image or open it in the Image Gallery, then use the Image Edit function to apply adjustments such as rotation, flipping, and cropping.
A
First, load the desired facial data. Then, select a measurement tool such as Straight Length, Curved Length, or Angle from the toolbar at the top center of the program. Select the desired points or area on the face to view the corresponding measurement values.
A
If the landmarks are in the Fixed state, click ‘Unfix’ to unlock them. You can then select the desired landmark and move it to the appropriate position.

If you want to detect all landmarks again, click ‘Unfix’ and then ‘Initialize’ to remove all existing landmarks before performing landmark detection again.
A
If the landmarks are in the Fixed state, click ‘Unfix’ to unlock them, and then click ‘Initialize’.

Next, click ‘Initialize’ in the Head Pose section. This will return the facial data to its original captured position before the Head Pose was adjusted.
A
For the C-Type, attach the clamp to the desk, install the articulated stand, and then mount the scanner on the stand. (Do not install on glass or marble surfaces.)
A
Keep a distance of approximately 50–60 cm between the patient and the scanner during capture.
Position the “-” mark at the center of the philtrum and align it with the horizontal center beam before capturing the image.
A
Use a hairband or similar item to keep the hair away from the face so that the forehead, ears, and neck are clearly visible.
For side-view scans in particular, make sure the ear is visible and capture as much of the neck as possible.
※ It is acceptable if part of the nose is cut off in the side view.
A
The entire process, including three scans and data merging, can be completed within approximately 3 minutes.
After scanning, the three 3D images can be merged into a single image in approximately 10 seconds.
A
3072 × 2048 pixels
A
Only one scanner is required. The patient sits in a rotating chair and turns their body for three scans: front, left, and right.
A three-scanner system has also been installed, but it is intended for research purposes and is not available for sale.
A
This is an optical device that does not use X-rays and is harmless to the human body. It captures soft tissue only and reconstructs it as 3D data.
Therefore, separate equipment, such as an X-ray or CT system, is required to capture hard tissue.
A
This device is designed to capture 3D facial data and does not support intraoral scanning.
A
The current Morpheus Scanner is specialized for facial scanning and does not support scanning of other body areas.
Scanning areas such as the torso would require improvements to the algorithm and changes to the scanning method.
A
1) Check whether the Right and Left images were captured in reversed positions.

2) Excessive unnecessary data may cause errors during registration. Reload the data, remove unnecessary areas from each scan, and then perform the registration again.

3) Data captured with excessive movement may also cause registration errors. Rescan the patient to obtain higher-quality data.

4) Check that the PC has sufficient available storage space.
A
If the Guide Line does not turn on even after launching the scanning program and clicking “Ready”:

1) Check that the scanner is powered on.

2) Check the connection between the serial converter and the cable. Disconnect and reconnect them.

3) If the issue persists, contact Morpheus for technical support.
A
1) Check that the scanner’s USB cable is connected to the PC.

2) Check whether there is an issue with the scanner’s IP settings and confirm that communication between the scanner and the PC is working properly.
Path: Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network Connections

3) Restart the scanner.
A
1) Check that the subject is properly positioned within the scanning area.

2) If the subject is present, check whether the scanner or the patient moved during capture.

3) If there are no issues with the above, check whether the Guide Line is being displayed properly.
A
In the scanning program, select “Option,” adjust the Exposure / Gain / Red / Blue values under “CAMERA FEATURE,” and then click “Save” to save the settings.

※ Adjust the color under the same conditions as the actual scanning environment, with the LED turned on by clicking “Ready.”
A
This symptom indicates that merging has failed.
Follow the same troubleshooting steps described under “The images are not merging properly.”
A
A stepped or jagged appearance on the face is usually caused by movement. This can occur if either the scanner or the patient moves during capture.

To minimize movement, let the patient know the capture timing by counting “one, two, three.” If the chair has a backrest, ask the patient to sit with their back against it and maintain an upright posture.

Secure the scanner firmly to the arm, wait until there is no movement, and then begin scanning to obtain the best possible data quality.
A
1) Check that the scanner is powered on.

2) If the scanner is powered on, follow the same troubleshooting steps described under “Failed to connect to the scanner.”

If the same issue persists, there may be a hardware problem. Contact Morpheus for technical support.
A
This message may indicate a hardware issue. Contact Morpheus for technical support.
A
1) From the installation files provided, install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vcredist.

2) Copy the provided vcruntime140_1.dll file to both of the following locations:

C:\Windows\System32

A
The connection to the database may have been temporarily interrupted while the scan was being saved. In this case, the 3D data may have been saved successfully even though the thumbnail was not generated.

Right-click the 3D Face field, select “Edit 3D Face,” and save the data again. The thumbnail should then be generated.

If the issue is not resolved, contact Morpheus for remote technical support.
